Aura Suci publishes two anchor figures: 3D2N open-trip berths from IDR 4,750,000 per person, and whole-boat charter from IDR 85,000,000 per night for up to 24 guests. National park fees are always excluded. Booking takes a 50 per cent non-refundable deposit with the balance due 30 days before departure.
Every published figure, in one table
Most Komodo boat pages send you to a contact form instead of a number. Here are the numbers, with the source of each one stated so you can judge how much weight to give it.

Rows marked “operator rate card” come from the boat’s own charter listing. Rows marked “reseller” come from third-party agencies that publish Aura Suci pricing; they vary between agencies by as much as fifty per cent for the same night, which tells you how much of Labuan Bajo charter pricing is negotiated rather than fixed.
Rate and specification data on this page was read directly from the operator’s own Aura Suci charter listing on komodoluxury.com and checked on 1 August 2026. Rates move with season and fuel; always confirm the live figure with the reservations desk before you transfer a deposit.
Season bands: when you travel changes what you get
| Period | Sea state and visibility | Commercial position | What to expect |
|---|---|---|---|
| April – June | Calmest seas, best visibility | Shoulder | The most reliable window for any duration; book 3–6 months ahead |
| July – August | Good visibility, windy in open channels | Peak — highest prices | Cabins on 24-guest boats sell out first; southern legs get uncomfortable |
| September – November | Calm, excellent visibility | Shoulder | The best all-round window, especially for charters of 5 nights and up |
| December – March | Monsoon, roughest seas, some boats in maintenance | Low | Manta density peaks at Karang Makassar and Manta Alley; real cancellation risk |
The counter-intuitive point worth pricing in: December to March is the cheapest season and the best manta season simultaneously. The plankton-rich water that makes it rough is exactly what brings the mantas in. If you can tolerate motion and you buy flexible flights, low season is arguably the best value in Komodo.
Official charges on top of the fare
| Official item (PP No. 36/2024) | Foreign visitor | Indonesian visitor |
|---|---|---|
| Komodo National Park entrance, per person per visit | Rp 250,000 | Rp 50,000 weekday / Rp 75,000 weekend & public holiday |
| Trekking, wildlife observation and snorkelling inside the park | Included in the entrance fee | Not itemised separately in the regulation |
| Drone permit (apply at least 7 days ahead) | Rp 1,000,000 | Rp 1,000,000 |
The Rp 650,000 (Komodo/Padar) and Rp 900,000 (Rinca) figures you will see quoted on other booking sites are not the national-park ticket. They are bundled amounts: the PP 36/2024 entrance fee plus regional levies plus ranger and trail-management charges collected on the island. The Rp 3,750,000 “conservation membership” floated back in 2022 was cancelled and is not payable. Park fees are excluded from every Aura Suci rate and are settled on the day you enter the park.
| Additional cost | Who charges it | Typical amount | When you pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crew gratuity | Discretionary, to the crew | At your discretion | End of trip |
| Alcoholic and soft drinks | On board | Per consumption | End of trip |
| Dive supplement and guide | Operator, on request | Quoted per trip | With the balance |
| Drone park permit | Komodo National Park | Rp 1,000,000 | Applied for 7 days in advance |
| Transfers from outside Labuan Bajo mainland | Third party | Quoted | Arranged separately |
| Travel and dive-accident insurance | Your insurer | Varies | Before departure |
How booking actually works — five steps
| Step | What happens | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Availability check | Confirm the boat and your dates are free before anything else | Travel dates, guest count, open trip or charter |
| 2. Registration form | Complete the reservation form, one entry per guest | Name, email, passenger count, boat name, travel date, trip type, destination |
| 3. Deposit | 50% secures the trip and is non-refundable on guest cancellation | Payment details are issued by the customer relations team |
| 4. Payment confirmation | Send the receipt via WhatsApp to +62 811 3823 875 | Proof of transfer |
| 5. Balance | Due no later than 30 days before departure; in full if booking inside 30 days | Final guest list and any dietary requirements |
Two terms worth reading twice. The deposit is non-refundable in the event of guest cancellation at any time — that is the operator’s stated policy, not a soft guideline. And documentation is included: drone, GoPro and mirrorless raw footage is shot during the trip, and by registering, guests consent to being recorded and to the footage being used promotionally.
Which rate is best for you
- Solo travellers and couples on a budget: the shared-cabin 3D2N berth from IDR 4,750,000 is the lowest honest entry point to the park.
- Couples wanting privacy: Master Cabin 1 or 2, the two-guest cabins with a private bathtub and balcony.
- Families of four: a Family cabin beats two Deluxe cabins on both cost and logistics.
- Groups of 16 to 24: whole-boat charter, where the per-head figure falls below the Master-cabin open-trip rate once the boat is full.
- Divers: quote a charter of five nights or more with the dive supplement priced in from the start rather than added later.
If you want to change the route rather than the duration, read what can and cannot be customised before you build a wishlist, and check the hour-by-hour 3D2N itinerary to see what the standard fare already covers. Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest Aura Suci rate?
IDR 4,750,000 per person for a shared-cabin berth on the 3D2N open trip, on the operator’s published rate card. That covers the cabin, all meals, drinking water, coffee and tea, guide, snorkelling gear and Labuan Bajo transfers. Park fees are extra.
How much is a whole-boat charter per night?
From IDR 85,000,000 per night for exclusive use of all eight cabins and up to 24 guests. Multi-night charters are quoted rather than multiplied, because provisioning and fuel scale differently from crew cost.
Do rates change by season?
Yes, though the published starting figures do not show it. July and August are peak. April to June and September to November are shoulder months with the calmest seas. December to March is low season with the highest cancellation risk and the best manta density.
What is not included in the price?
National park fees, flights, alcoholic and soft drinks, personal snacks and expenses, crew gratuities, the Rp 1,000,000 drone permit, and transfers from outside the Labuan Bajo mainland area near the harbour.
How much deposit is required?
Fifty per cent to secure the trip. That deposit is non-refundable in the event of guest cancellation at any time. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before departure, or in full if you book inside 30 days.
How do I confirm my booking?
Confirm availability with the reservations desk, complete the registration form, pay the 50 per cent deposit, then send the payment receipt via WhatsApp to +62 811 3823 875. Your reservation is followed up by the customer relations team.
Are park fees paid to the boat or on the island?
They are settled at the park, not built into your fare. Under PP No. 36/2024 that is Rp 250,000 per foreign visitor per visit, and Rp 50,000 on weekdays or Rp 75,000 at weekends and public holidays for Indonesian visitors.
Why do other sites quote Rp 650,000 or Rp 900,000 for the park?
Those are bundled operator figures — the PP 36/2024 entrance fee plus regional levies plus ranger and trail charges collected on the island. They are real amounts people pay, but they are not the national-park ticket price.
Can I pay in USD?
Rates are published in Indonesian rupiah. Payment arrangements, including foreign-currency settlement and the applicable exchange rate, are confirmed by the reservations desk at the time of booking rather than fixed on this page.
Is travel insurance included?
No. Travel insurance and dive-accident cover are the guest’s responsibility on every Labuan Bajo liveaboard. Given that the December to March window carries genuine weather-cancellation risk, insurance that covers trip interruption is worth the cost.
